dual DVD copy: Ripping to DVD DVD to DVD mode performs copying of single and dual layer DVD discs to DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW and DVD+R9 media. The copying process doesn't take much time because of the performance algorithms used by the application.

For DVD5 discs (Single Layer) the application makes the precise image of the source media. All menus and subtitles are also preserved in the resulting DVD disc.

The DVD9 (Dual Layer) discs can be copied using the three different modes:

• Extracts one video chain and burns it to DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
• Re-compresses the whole Video-DVD disc with menus and extras and fits it into DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
• Makes the exact copy of the Video-DVD disc and burns it to DVD+R9 media.

The software application asks you to select the mode before the ripping process starts. The highest quality of the copy is created using the third mode because no re-compression of the video takes place.

When using the first mode the application extracts only one video chain and one audio stream for the movie. The video chain and audio stream are selected by a customer. This allows to store the whole movie with the best quality.

To use this mode you should have DVD+ or DVD- burner with any of the hardware interfaces (IDE, USB, FireWire).

dual DVD copy: Ripping to VCD DVD to VCD Mode allows you to store Video-DVD content on CD-R/RW media. The source video and audio streams are re-compressed to MPEG-1 with the lower quality than the original.

In most cases the whole movie doesn't fit a single CD-R/RW disc so you will need two or possibly 3 CD-R/RW discs. The movie will be split automatically to the parts of desired sizes.

The resulting VCD discs can be played by any DVD Player.

To use this mode you need the CD-R/RW burner with one of the hardware interfaces: IDE, USB, FireWire.

dual DVD copy: Ripping to DivX This feature allows you to store Movie as a file of computer format. The files will have AVI extension. This means that they can be played by Windows Media Player or any other software player which supports AVI files.

The output file is encoded by the codecs chosen by you. So, you need video codecs to be installed on your computer to use this feature.

The quality of the resulting video and time of encoding depend directly on the selected codecs. Now the fastest codecs are DivX and Xvid. They also provide good quality of the video.
