How simple is the software to install and use on your computer? Are additional downloads necessary before you can make a copy? Do errors pop up during the installation? Is there help available?
Does the program make an excellent copy of a DVD? Does the copy have any image defects? Is the sound synchronized with the picture? Does the copy retain the menus on the original DVD?
Does the program seem error-prone? Does it react negatively with other software already installed on your computer?

DVD(+/-)R Dual LayerA recordable DVD that can hold up to 9 gigabytes of information.
A recordable DVD that can hold upto 5 gigabytes of information. A DVD RW is a rewritable DVD that can be erased and reuses multiple times. The (+/-) is determined by the DVD burner.
A CD that can be burned using a CD burner. A CD RW (recordable/rewritable) is a CD that can be erased use multiple times.
Output Formats
NTSC (Movies)NTSC is the media storage format that is used with most televisions in most western countries.
PAL is the media storage format used in most European televisions.
DivX is the name of a new video format based on the new MPEG-4 compression standard for video. Once you've installed the DivX codec, you will be able to play DivX movies using Windows Media Player or any other DivX-enabled player.
AVI stands for Audio Video Interlaced. This format was developed by Microsoft and is one of the oldest media storage formats in use.

E-mail/online formsDoes the product manufacturer provide a way for the customer to get technical assistance? Usually there is one of three types of technical assistance: Live chat, Toll free telephone number, or E-mail/Online Forums.
Does the product offer an excellent help document? The help document should answer most of the questions that a novice user might have about their product. It should have graphics and include a step-by-step set of instructions.
