Feature Set:  

DVD Copy Pal offers a very versatile feature set. You can copy DVD movies to DVDR or CDR to be played in VCD capable DVD players. You can also copy your DVD games (PS2, XBOX, PSX) if you have a modchip installed in your game console.

Ease of Use:  

DVD Copy Pal is not as easy to use as other products we reviewed because there are several steps to follow and many different tools you will need to use. The instruction is great however, and includes step-by-step help and pictures.

Ease of Installation:  

There are several steps involved because you need to download several other tools to accomplish your task. One of the tools you need to download to burn your DVD is a free version of Nero. This free trail version lasts for 30 days, after which you will need to purchase the Nero product.

Quality of Copy:  

The copy quality is perfect, and the special features and menus options of the DVDs we copied are all intact and functioning. There are also no watermarks or hidden identifiable markers within each copied movie.

Program Stability:  

While trying to copy a DVD to a CD, we did run into a problem. During the conversion from the ripped DVD to SVCD, an error message popped up and the program wouldn't continue. We switched to a DVD medium and the program produced an excellent copy of the original DVD, complete with the menus and features.

Overall, DVD Copy Pal is a great versatile product and was one of the original DVD copying solutions. It's also one of the only solutions that help you backup your DVD games. However, it's not as easy to use as many other products available.
