DVD95Copy, from DigiMedic Technologies, is an average DVD copying product. It did produce a decent copy. However, it doesn't come with a CSS decryptor and it is harder to use than most of the products we've reviewed.
DVD95Copy has a decent feature set. You can compress DVD-9 to fit on a single DVD-R and even retain the menus and bonus tracks. It can even backup episodic DVDs like The Simpsons. You can also control the compression, if that's a benefit to you. The problem is, it's difficult to know what you're doing because the chapters and tracks are not clearly labeled.
We found DVD95Copy harder to use than other applications. You have to know what you're doing because it offers so many compression options. The interface is not very intuitive and it lacks time-saving features. The instruction and error messages are a little hard to understand or are missing altogether.
The only problem we found with the installation and setup is that you have to first download and use a CSS decryptor. DVD95Copy does not come with one.
The copy quality is pretty good, and the special features and menu options of the DVDs we copied are all intact and functioning.
We didn't encounter any problems or errors when we used this product.
Overall, DVD95Copy, from DigiMedic Technologies, is a good DVD copying product, if all you want to do is copy movies to blank DVD discs. With the help of a good ripping program, this software could potentially be one of the best.
