There aren't as many options when it comes to choosing what gets copied. This application doesn't work with Blu-rays either, which can be a turn-off for some. Other than the lack of copy options, this DVD copy software is a good choice for those who don't need anything overly fancy.

Feature Set
There are plenty of features you will find useful in ImTOO DVD Copy. One of the most useful features is the option to keep or discard all of the special features on a DVD. This is a quick and easy way to reduce the file size. While we find this a handy tool, we would have liked to have more options when it comes to choosing specific extras to keep. It is either all or nothing. There is a little more choice when it comes to keeping the audio and subtitle options, though with that you have three options: all, nothing or one.

The other feature that we would like to mention specifically is that you can copy your DVDs not just to another disc but to your hard drive as well for your backup. This is a great way to keep track of your backups without taking up shelf space. If you do want to copy discs you are a little limited in the formats. It is geared to make perfect clones. There aren’t many compression options. The only way to reduce the file size is to discard the special features.

Quality of Copy
There is no point in copying a DVD if the quality isn't going to be up to par. While ImTOO DVD Copy isn't bad, it isn't the best we've seen. During playback some of the movies were a bit pixilated. While this isn't as visible on a small screen, you will notice this pixilation if you happen to be watching the backup copy on a large screen. There were also a few instances when the image was shaky, which can also be a problem.

Ease of Use
There are plenty of reasons why we like ImTOO DVD Copy. Though there aren't as many features available, such as no Blu-ray copy options, we found the features that are included make it a good application for cloning DVDs. Because there aren't as many features, that means you won't be bogged down with all of the minute details that make DVD copy software difficult to use.

ImTOO DVD copy is set up to copy in three modes: clone copy, movie only or customization, though the customization just gives you the option of which subtitles and languages to copy. As soon as you put in the in the DVD you just have to click "Start Copy." The application does the rest of the work so you can just sit back and relax. The application comes with a decryptor, but it doesn't play well with third-party add-ons. This can be a bit troublesome if you come across a movie that doesn't work with the preinstalled decryption feature.
